People’s Transit in Huron is approximately 40-thousand dollar short of what it needs to operate. The Huron City Commission took no action to provide immediate assistance but Mayor Paul Aylward did say the governing body would look into additional funding. Meanwhile People’s Transit is starting the Rooster Up For Transit fund raising effort to try and supplement the organization’s finances. Part of the fund raising effort will include donation boxes across the city.
