For the second year in a row, the South Dakota Outdoor Expo at the State Fairgrounds in Huron has been named an Official Get Outdoors Day Site. The Outdoor Expo kicks off tomorrow and is free to attend. Dozens of activities for families will be available for sample by attendees, including kayaking, archery, air rifle shooting, fishing, trapping demonstrations and discovering the wildlife of South Dakota. A number of events are a part of the Outdoor Expo this year. The Dutch Oven Challenge and Sportsman’s Swap meet will be held on Saturday. Sunday will see the South Dakota, State Dutch Oven Gathering. Other programs include, the Owls of North America and the Great Lakes Timber Show. Gates for the Outdoor Expo open at nine AM Saturday and 10 AM Sunday. Camping at the Fairgrounds is free this weekend at sites with electrical hook-ups. No reservations are required for camping during the event.
