Online donations are coming in for the family of a Sioux Falls real estate agent who was found dead on a Missouri highway.
Melissa Peskey lived in the Hartford area with her husband, Ryan, and their two young children.
Last Thursday, the Missouri Highway Patrol responded to the report of a crash on Interstate 70. They found Peskey dead in her vehicle. Authorities say that Peskey died of a gunshot wound and that the gun was fired from outside the vehicle. Her two children were also in the car but were not hurt.
According to a GoFundMe page that has been set up for the family, Ryan came home from a deployment to Afghanistan in November. Any donations will help defray costs for funeral arrangements and provide Christmas presents for the children.
