One woman has died in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday night south of Huron, S.D.
The name of the person is not being released pending notification of family. She was the driver and only occupant in the vehicle.
A 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe was southbound on South Dakota Highway 37 when the vehicle eventually went off the roadway and rolled. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other agencies on scene were the Beadle County Sheriff’s Office, Sanborn County Sheriff’s Office, Alpena Fire and Rescue and Huron Ambulance.
