Huron Mayor Paul Aylward is reminding residents that the odd/even watering schedule will take effect beginning July 26th.
Residents are encouraged to start following the schedule now rather than waiting until next week.
Residents with odd-numbered addresses, ending with 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9, are allowed to water lawns, trees, and landscaping on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, while those with even-numbered addresses, ending with 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8, may water on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
All addresses may water on Sunday.
Watering of lawns, trees, and landscaping is prohibited on any day between the hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Hand watering of vegetation such as shrubbery, trees, ground covers, plants, vines, gardens, vegetables, and flowers is permitted at any time.
