The cost of construction has increased the price tag on the Nordby Exhibit Hall for 4-H, Youth and Community. State Fair Manager Peggy Woolridge-Besch says the 48-thousand square foot replacement for Clover Hall on the State Fairgrounds will end up closer to being a five-million dollar project….
Representative Dick Werner of Huron was present last Thursday as Governor Dennis Daugaard signed Senate Bill 46 in to law in the presences of the Leadership Huron group, who were visiting the Capitol. Werner says it’s obvious the State Fair has made major strides in the last few years….
Werner says Senator Larry Tidemann of Brookings made a donation of 10-thousand dollars because 4-H has had a big impact on his life growing up. Besch says with the green light to spend an additional 700-thousand dollars, now they need to raise it…

So far, three-point-seven million dollars has been raised for the Nordby Exhibit Hall meaning just over one million dollars is needed to fully support construction.
