Prairie Family Business Association, in partnership with the Huron Chamber of Commerce, is asking for nominations for the Huron Excellence in Family Business Award.
The Huron Excellence in Family Business Award will be given to a local Huron Family who is running a successful family business involving multiple generations of the family as well as a commitment to the community. The award will be presented at the Huron Chamber of Commerce annual meeting on March 28th. Nominations are due by February 28th.
Prairie Family Business Association is looking for family businesses with strong records of success, family involvement, community service and philanthropy, multi-generational culture, and positive family business structure.
For the purposes of the award, a business is considered a family business if at least two generations are currently working in the business, or the business has already transitioned from one generation to another within the family. Recipients of each local award are then eligible to receive the regional Vicki Clarke Excellence in Family Business Award, presented at the Prairie Family Business Association annual conference in Sioux Falls.
