Noem Supported Failed Disaster Aid Bill

The US House is attempting to reconcile conflicting budget bills.  A bill that contained disaster funding was defeated earlier this week, when a number of republicans voted against it.  South Dakota Congresswoman Kristi Noem supported the bill…

The House then early this morning  passed a stop gap funding bill keeps the government open until mid November, but with out disaster funding.  Noem says she isn’t sure if she can support a disaster bill that doesn’t have spending off sets…

Noem says they will be looking for cuts else where in the budget before the disaster bill comes up for another vote…

The House bill has about three point six billion dollars in disaster aid, which is about half of what the Senate wants.
