State officials have closed roadways in many parts of South Dakota. Melting snow over the weekend combined with rain and freezing drizzle to put a layer of ice down on the roadways ahead of the snow that’s been falling since early this morning.
South Dakota Department of Public Safety spokesman Tony Mangan says many areas currently have no travel advised.
Mangan says there are a couple easy ways to keep updated on road conditions.
Beadle County Emergency Management is advising no travel in Beadle County and surrounding areas.
