No Jail Time, But No Hunting For One Year For Alpena Man

An Alpena man is one of six men sentenced on numerous federal hunting violations. according to the United States Attorney’s Office. Thirty-three year old Scott Nenabar of Alpena was sentenced to a year of probation, a 200-dollar fine and two-thousand one-hundred seventy-five dollars in restitution. Nenabar has also lost his right to hunt for a year. Two others in the case have been sentenced earlier this year. The eight men involved are a group of friends known as “Team Those Guys”. Team Those Guys were hunting in Miner County between November 24th and November 29th of last year. In that time span the men illegally killed 417 geese and six Canada geese using an electronic device. All eight admitted in court they knew what they were doing was illegal to use the device to kill the birds during that time of the year. After taking the geese, they were transported from the field to various locations, also a violation of federal law. Twenty-two year old Jaron Anderson of Brookings received the stiffest penalty with a 200 dollar fine, over 48-hundred dollars in restitution and three years of revoked hunting privileges. The other men involved in the case are from Sioux Falls, Winfred and Lake Benton, Minnesota.
