Sirens in the county will be sounded by emergency management for a tornado spotted with in 10 miles of a town in the county moving in ANY direction from that town and for winds forecast to be 70 miles an hour or greater. Outdoor warning sirens are not designed to be heard inside a home or business. Moeding encourages everyone to have a NOAA weather radio that can be programmed to receive severe weather warnings for Beadle County as you first line of safety against severe weather.
