New Search for Missing 9 Year Old Girl Comes Up Empty

Another full scale search for a missing 9-year-old girl came up empty Wednesday.

The Pennington County Sheriff’s office says over 80 people were joined by two dog teams and a helicopter in the search for Serenity Dennard.

Dennard hasn’t been seen since running away from the Black Hills Children’s Home near Rockerville.

After 7 hours of high intensity searching, no trace of the little girl was found.

Despite the fact Wednesday’s search came up empty, Rapid City Police Chief Karl Jegeris remains hopeful.

Officials say they plan to resume searching this weekend, as weather permits.
