A second nursing education program is coming to Huron.
Yesterday, Southeast Technical Institute president Robert Griggs made the official announcement at Huron Community Campus.
Griggs says the new offering will complement the existing LPN to RN program.
Brooke Sydow is the Workforce Program Development Director for the HRMC Foundation. She says they have already received inquiries about the LPN program.
Sydow says there will be a recruitment effort to make students of the opportunities available in Huron.
The new cohort of LPN to RN students was on hand for yesterday’s announcement. Those students were on campus for “jumpstart day” which gives them an overview of the courses they will be taking.
