The funding effort to replace Clover Hall on the South Dakota State Fairgrounds will get a boost from the yearly running of the Turkey’s in Huron. Peggy Woolridge, executive director of the Huron Chamber and Visitor’s Bureau, says the yet to be constructed, 47-thousand square foot 4-H Exhibit Hall may already be paying off…
Woolridge declined to say what event it was the Chamber and Visitor’s Bureau is courting. The annual Huron Turkey Races raise money for various community efforts. Last year funds went to help the Huron Little League establish the Player Development Center in the Huron Mall. Money raised from this year’s Turkey Races will help The South Dakota State Fair Foundation raise the four-million dollars to build the new 4-H Exhibit Hall on the State Fairgrounds. The Turkey Races are May 16th in Downtown Huron.
