Nelson Intends To Leave Clean Slate For Gant In Secretary Of State's Office

South Dakota Secretary of State Chris Nelson is wrapping up eight years in office over the next few days. He was term limited, and could not run for re-election. But, he will not be leaving Pierre, as Governor-elect Dennis Daugaard will appoint him to the Public Utilities Commission early next month, to replace Dusty Johnson, who is moving to Daugaard’s Chief of Staff.  Nelson says he plans to leave a clean desk behind…
