The opening weekend for Huron’s Splash Central Water Park met expectations despite weather that wasn’t the best for a lazy drift down the Lazy River. Park Manager Laura McGirr says the cooler weather on the opening day Friday actually helped the aquatic center…
A small mechanical issue kept the park closed for a brief time Tuesday afternoon….
McGirr says the early afternoon delay did nothing to keep the swimmers from getting in line….
Splash Central hasn’t even had a week of operation under it’s belt and McGirr says so far it’s exceeding her expectations…
The 50 meter competition pool remains under construction as workers repair cracks the formed in the 12 foot end of the pool. Work on that part of Splash Central is still expected to last into early June.
