NE South Dakota Could Be in For More Snow

Spring officially arrived on Tuesday, but that brings no guarantees when it comes to March weather in South Dakota.

The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Storm Watch for the northeast corner of the state, from Eureka to Aberdeen and Watertown, from Friday morning into Saturday.

Forecaster Mike Connolly says the difference of just a few degrees could determine if it’s primarily a rain event, or if the watch area will get heavy snow….

He says some areas are more likely to see snow than others….

Some other cities in the Winter Storm Watch are Milbank, Webster, Britton, Sisseton and Clear Lake.

Rain is forecast for Huron area on Friday, with a chance of precipitation through the weekend. Although a rain/snow mix is possible Friday night through Sunday, little accumulation is expected.
