The utility serves about eighty five thousand gas customers in eastern South Dakota. In 2011 they sold just over five point five deca therms of natural gas. In 2010 it was just over five point eight deca therms. Gross says they are already well on the way to having all their gas supply for next winter locked down, at a very favorable price…

He says new gas finds have extended the natural gas supply out to about three hundred years. Gross says the lower costs of natural gas are leading to the possible development of compressed natural gas refueling stations…
