The U.S. Postal Service has announced preliminary plans to close more than 250 mail processing centers across the country, including centers in Huron and Rapid City. The Postal Service is looking at three billion dollars in cuts which would help the agency avoid bankruptcty in 2012. Postal Service spokesman Pete Nowacki says if the Huron center closes, its functions would be folded into the center in Sioux Falls….
