The National Weather Service Office in Aberdeen has confirmed three tornado touchdowns from severe storms that rolled though the region Tuesday night.
The strongest of the three was an EF-1 tornado with winds estimated at 100 miles an hour. It touched down five and a half miles southwest of Tulare, uprooting a large cottonwood tree in a field. It was on the ground for just under three miles, and toppled an irrigation unit, and damaged an outbuilding on a farm.
The two other tornadoes were weaker—rated EF-0 on the Fujita Scale with peak winds of 70 miles an hour. Both were in Clark County; one four miles west of Clark and the other a half mile east of Bradley. Those tornadoes touched down in open fields, were on the ground briefly, and did not result in any damage.
