A Lake Preston woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash that happened Friday near Erwin.
Rosemary Mogler, 57, was driving a 2004 Chevy Impala westbound on 200th Street when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned on its roof in a semi-frozen slough.
Mogler, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Slippery road conditions and high winds are thought to have been factors in the crash.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other agencies on scene were the Kingsbury County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Preston Ambulance and Lake Preston Fire and Rescue.
