A huge gathering of alumni, students, staff, friends, government leaders and community members gathered Tuesday evening to celebrate Mitchell Technical Institute’s golden anniversary.
It began in 1968 as Mitchell Area Vocational-Technical School with around 200 students and grew into Mitchell Technical Institute with a current enrollment of 1,200.

MTI has graduated 18,145 students in its first fifty years as its program offerings have evolved to meet the needs of its industry partners.
