With high school seniors heading to graduation this month, it’s the time that the four tech schools in South Dakota award their “Build Dakota” scholarships for this fall. Those are full ride grants through a combination of funds from the state, businesses and T. Denny Sanford.
Clayton Deuter, Dean of Enrollment Services at Mitchell Technical Institute, says they are finding more deserving students.
Deuter says students sign a contract when they get their scholarship.
Deuter says most of their graduates can cash in on their education.
Deuter says students must have a good attendance record, and keep a two-point five grade point average to hang on to their scholarships.
