The Aspen Institute has named Mitchell Technical Institute as one of the top ten community colleges in the U-S. MTI’s Julie Brookbank says it means a lot…..
She says the Aspen Prize is a million dollar prize split between the overall winner and a couple of the finalists.
Brookbank says MTI staff will spend the summer preparing for a multi-day site visit by Aspen officials, probably sometime in September.
South Dakota is no stranger to the Aspen prize as both MTI and LATI in Watertown have been in the top 150. LATI actually won the prize not too long ago.
