Circuit Judge Vince Foley has denied John LeGrand’s motion to withdraw the Sturgis man’s guilty plea. In a hearing Tuesday in Huron Dr. Lyle Christopherson testified that LeGrand had a larger than normal amount of Clonazepam in his system on September 8th, the day he signed a plea agreement. Christopherson also said experts he talked to were spilt as to if LeGrand would have been impaired by the drugs. Others who testified at the hearing including Physicians Assistants who treated LeGrand for a sore throat and hand problems noted that LeGrand seem coherent and not in the “foggy” state he claimed to be in when he signed the plea deal.
