Beadle County States Attorney Mike Moore ended his one year term as president of the National District Attorney’s Association last week. Moore passed the President’s gavel off to Syracuse, New York District Attorney William Fitzpatrick. The NDAA’s recent Summit on Prosecution Integrity saw a two fold increase in attendance, after slow declines in recent year. Moore says one program he learned about and that is gaining popularity in larger jurisdictions are re-entry programs…

Moore will remain active in the leadership of the NDAA. He now becomes Chairman of the Board of the group. He says that role will consist of  fewer responsibilities and far less travel, keeing him closer to Huron.
