Twenty-four Wolsey-Wessington area farmers when to bat for the Wolsey-Wessington School District, and helped pull down a 10-thousand dollar grant from the Monsanto Corporation. The farmers nominated Wolsey-Wessington in the America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education Fund program. Monsanto representatives presented a 10-thousand dollar check to the Wolsey-Wessington School District last night before the Wolsey-Wessington-Mitchell Christian game. The money will be used forĀ the construction of a greenhouse and for improving math and science equipment. During the ceremony all of the nominating farmers were acknowledged and so was Caroline McGillvrey, who is responsible for writing a number of grants that get approved to help benefit the Wolsey-Wessington School District.
