Moderate Risk For Severe Storms This Afternoon

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has placed much of north central South Dakota and south central North Dakota in a moderate risk for severe weather this afternoon. Phil Schumacher at the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls explains the setup for today…

He says that moderate risk means an increased tornado threat later today…

The moderate risk area has been reduced to exclude areas around  Huron, Miller and  Redfield.  Aberdeen Mobridge  and Jamestown, North Dakota could still se an enhanced tornado threat.
