Missing man found dead in vehicle near Redfield

REDFIELD, S.D. (AP) – The Spink County Sheriff says officers have found the body of a man in his 70s who was reported missing. Sheriff Kevin Schurch says the man was found dead inside his vehicle in the Turtle Creek River, about five miles west of Redfield. The body was located Wednesday morning after law enforcement began looking for the man. He was last seen in Redfield about 12 p.m. Tuesday.  Authorities say they are investigating the death. Foul play is not suspected.  Schurch says the official cause of death has not been determined. The victim’s name won’t be released until next of kin are notified.
