Two men involved in the staged armed robbery of a Huron convenience story last year, appear to be involved in a series of incidents that unfolded Wednesday afternoon. The altercations began Wednesday morning as Huron police received multiple 9-1-1- calls from customers and employees, of a fight in the grocery entrance of the Wal-Mart store. Officers arrived, investigated and arrested 29 year-old Sidney Malone, 28-year-old Donell Williams and 27-year-old Jennifer Espinoza on disorderly conduct charges. All three were booked at the Beadle County Jail and released with pending court dates. Following the parties release from jail, Williams along with 26-year-old Bryan Lytle, went to Malone’s Huron residence and assaulted Malone, with a tire iron and jack handle. Williams and Lytle then fled to a residence in Cavour. Malone sustained injuries to the head and torso requiring stitches and was taken to Huron Regional Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, deputies from the Beadle County Sheriff’s Office made contact with Williams and Lytle. Williams was arrested on an aggravated assault charge and Lytle for simple assault. Authorities were granted a search warrant for the home in Cavour in connection to the assault. That search warrant was conducted Wednesday night. The incidents remain under investigation with additional charges pending. Malone agreed to work with prosecutors in the 2014 staged armed robbery of the Northstar Corner Pantry. He received a 26 day jail sentence. Williams was found guilty during an October 2014 trial. He got a 30 days of jail in Beadle County and a suspended four-year prison term.
