Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said this week he was cancelling most of the August break, to keep Senators in Washington and confirm more of President Trumps nominees.
South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says there was a similar threat last year.
Rounds says if democrats agree to move the nominations, the break could be restored.
Rounds says they also have more than just nominations to work through.
Democrats said they would use the extra legislative time to focus on health care issues.
