Last night, Mayor Paul Aylward had praise for city street crews and personnel from other departments for their efforts during last week’s blizzard. The storm dropped a total of 23 inches of snow on Huron, Wednesday night through Friday morning.
Any snow remaining on the streets will be left to melt as the city has nowhere to put it.
Also last night, the city approved a request from the Huron Chamber & Visitor’s Bureau request for the annual Turkey Days Event on May 17, 2019 from 9am-9pm. The rain date will be May During the event Wisconsin Avenue SW from 3rd Street to 2nd Street will be closed.
