A Willow Lake man has dead one week after an accident in Clark County. Twenty-one year-old Cody Verdon was traveling east on South Dakota Highway 28 on his 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he was struck by a car driven by Laura Matteson of Watertown. The 38-year-old driver of a 2008 Ford Focus was making a left hand turn into Willow Lake and failed to see Verdon. Verdon struck Matteson’s car and was thrown from his bike. The accident happened August 9th. Verdon died last Friday August 16th. He was not wearing a helmet. Matteson was not wearing a seatbelt and received minor injuries.
