Man Dies In Accident Northeast Of Huron

A one-vehicle accident northeast of Huron has taken the life of a Huron resident. David Jones was driving north on 405th Avenue as he neared the T-intersection with 205th Street. The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the 58-year-old failed to stop at the intersection, went through it and struck an embankment on the other side. His 2005 Chevrolet pick-up vaulted into the air, coming to rest in a field. Authorities believe the accident took place sometime between three-P-M last Thursday, March 26th and 10 A-M last Friday. Jones was not wearing a seatbelt and the Highway Patrol says alcohol may be a factor. Troopers continue to investigate the accident. Assisting at the scene was the Beadle County Sheriff.
