A man charged in connection with the June death of a Yale, SD woman was arraigned in Beadle County Court today.

Marc Woodley Henrisse is charged with first-degree manslaughter and distribution of a controlled substance.

He has entered a plea of not guilty.

29-year-old Heather Skinner was found in her home on June 22nd.

According to an affidavit, Henrisse says he visited Skinner’s house on June 22nd to buy prescription medication. He also admits to taking drugs with Skinner. The affidavit further states that Henrisse told investigators he knew Skinner had overdosed and took several measures to keep her awake. He stated when he left the home Skinner was alert.

Skinner’s two sons, ages 4 and 6, later alerted a neighbor that their mother was not breathing. Investigators say the juveniles were able to identify Henrisse from a photo taken from his Facebook account.
