Long Recovery Ahead for Local Man Injured in Farming Accident

A local farmer and Huron business owner continues to recover after being injured in a farming accident earlier this month.

On Dec. 5th, Todd Paye lost his balance while operating a combine. His right leg was caught in the equipment, breaking his tibia, fibula, and ankle. Paye also suffered major tissue and skin damage

Paye has undergone four surgeries so far to save the leg below the knee, with more surgeries planned. He is currently being treated at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Paye and his wife Connie are the owners of Exhaust Pros of Huron. He is also the sole employee. Connie is employed at First National Bank of Huron.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family cover the cost of medical bills and the loss of income.
