With 2016 fast approaching it’s time to let you, our listeners have a hand in voting for the 2015 Story of the year. The stories we’ve selected for voting include the Dakota Access Pipeline being announced, four juveniles caught vandalizing automobiles this spring, Groundbreaking for the Nordby Exhibit Hall, The referral and defeat of a wheel tax in Beadle County and the bird flu outbreak impacting local turkey growers and Dakota Provisions. Other events up for voting including the future of Jefferson Elementary being decided, a tornado doing damage just south of Huron, People’s Transit looking for emergency funding from the City of Huron, Sunday liquor sales being approved and the Huron Community Campus retaining a nursing program.
