The Huron City Commission has another light agenda dealing mostly with departmental items tonight. The Commission take Public Forum time to issue a Certificate of Appreciation to and declare Alexander Zell Day. The Commission will set an appraisal team to appraise the value of police department handguns to be surplussed. Commissioners will consider the retirement and resignation of Solid Waste Department Foreman Tim Schwartz and consider taking steps to fill his position like posting the job and issuing a Civil Service Call. The Commission will also consider two job postings in the Solid Waste Department. Commissioners will consider more golf course hires and the hiring of a part-time seasonal Engineering Assistant. The City will also declare that yard waste container pick up will begin on Wednesday. The Commission will end the meeting that starts at 5:30 PM tonight with an executive session item for negotiations. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building and the meeting is open to the public.
