LeGrand To Be Sentenced This Afternoon For Hein Shooting

Barring any more last mintue legal hijinks, a Sturgis man who pleaded guilty to shooting a Huron man in April of 2009 will know how long he will stay behind bars.  John LeGrands motion to have is guilty plea withdrawn, after signing a plea agreement was deined by Circuit Judge Vince Foley last week.  The motion to withdraw the plea, came on the day LeGrand was supposed to be sentenced on October 18th for shooting Ricardo “RJ” Hein four times with a shotgun after Hein entered LeGrands trailer house in the Prairie Villa Mobile Home park after the two spent the day in confrontations over money.  Sentencing is set for 1 PM at the Beadle County Courthouse.  States Attorney Mike Moore will conduct a post sentencing press conference,which will air shortly after the sentencing is complete.  The press conference will air on 1340-AM KIJV and on line at www.kijv.com.  Click on the sports link, then click on LISTEN LIVE 1340 KIJV.
