The 2013-2014 Leadership Huron class will be taking in the 38th annual Business Day at the Legislature Thursday. The South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry is holding events throughout the day, including the group’s Annual Meeting. Members of the current Leadership Huron class will hear South Dakota Chamber President David Owen give a Legislative Briefing at 11 AM to start the day. They will also attend a luncheon with Ted Phlegar of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In the afternoon, organizers have scheduled the Chamber’s 10th annual Business Caucus Program-an event which Owen says gives attendees a chance to express their opinions on various business related issues.

The Business Day Banquet Thursday night will feature Thomas Gallagher, who will talk about how policy has and will impact the investment outlook.

The Leadership Huron class will also sit in on the Senate and House Appropriations Committee hearings in the morning and observe the legislature in session in the afternoon.
