South Dakota legislators this week rejected a bill on non-meandered lakes that was written by an interim study committee, and will instead extend the bill passed in last summers special session.

Frerichs says it may be best to extend the current law, and adjust as necessary
This year’s bill would extend the sunset of the law by three years.
