South Dakota Senator Mike Vehle of Mitchell was one of eight state transportation chairmen to spend last week in Washington DC as part of National Infrastructure Week. Senator Vehle was one of three officials who made a presentation on the need for the federal government to pass a transportation funding bill. Vehle says the clock is ticking.
He says work on South Dakota’s infrastructure could be adversely affected if Congress does not act.
Vehle says Congress cannot agree on whether to pass a long-term or short-term transportation bill.
