Law enforcement in the northeastern part of South Dakota are asking residents across the state to keep a look our for a mysterious white van that is believed to be trying to abduct children. The van and it’s occupants have been reported on three different occasions of trying to lure children into the vehicle. The first incident took place July 13th in Britton at a city park. Someone there described a white cargo van with side windows and no writing on the side. As many as four subjects approached two children and asked them to get in the van. As second incident took place in Redfield on July 15th. The Redfield incident also took place in a city park. The van was described as a white box van with NO windows. A subject approached two children and tried to pull on into the van. The last incident happened in a public area in Sisseton on July 21st. The van in Sisseton was described as a white cargo van with side windows and no writing. Rust was reported near the bottom of the driver’s door and goes toward the rear of the vehicle. A subject has been described as a white male around 200 pounds. Police and sheriff officials are reminding parents to be vigilant and aware of their child’s location.
