The Laura Ingalls Wilder pageant is in full swing in DeSmet. This is the 48th year for the event, which brings people from around the world to the Kingsbury County community.
Pageant director Anne Lesch says the 2019 pageant began last week and benefited from some nice weather.
This years production, “By the Stars of Silver Lake” focuses on the Ingalls family’s arrival in South Dakota.
Lesch says the pageant has a new director this year.
This Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant continues July 5th,6th and 7th and July 19th, 20th and 21st. The gate opens 6 pm and performances start at 8 pm.
