The Huron City Commission will gather tonight for the final Monday night regular meeting of 2013. Commissioners will consider a payment requests and set three bid dates 2014 sewer main lining, water treatment chemicals and man hole restoration projects next year. The Commission will consider approval of a contract with the AFSCME union for 2014 through 2016. Commissioners will also consider deleting a project from the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. Up for consideration tonight is approval of a service agreement with Trane Building Services for the Huron Community Campus Building and Fine Arts Center. The second reading of two ordinances will be held tonight, one of those will add a new snow emergency route to the southwest side of Huron.. The Commission will consider the 2014 certified pay schedule, recommendation to approve full time status to a police captain and announce the solid waste schedule for the New Year’s holiday. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building. That meeting is open to the public.
