Lake Area Tech in Watertown, South Dakota, has won the prestigious Aspen Award for excellence, ahead of one thousand community collleges nationwide.
President Michael Cartney, speaking at the Awards ceremony in Washington Tuesday, credited, among other things, the school’s culture of caring.
As national Aspen winner, Lake Area Tech earns $600,000.
