JRWDD Meets In Mitchell

The James River Water Development District board met this week in Mitchell.  District Manager Darrell Raschke says they approved their strategic plan, which details the projects they will undertake and assist along and near the river…

Raschke says while they will help where they can, river improvements are still number one…

The board also got an update on the TMDL assessment, which is a measure of the pollution in the river. Raschke says they have seen some good progress, especially in the lower James, below Mitchell…

The board also approved funding request from Hitchcock, Letcher and Mt Vernon.
