The James River Water Development District Board of Directors are meeting today in Yankton to discuss a budget for 2015. The District provides for projects that promote the conservation and proper management of the river, and District Manager, Dave Bartel, doesn’t foresee any major projects that would be reflected in the budget.
Bartel says there is a focus on water quality projects the district will need to discuss funding for.
He says the board will also discuss increasing the percentage they pay towards building earth dams along the James River.
