There are some familiar faces back in familiar roles with the leadership of the James River Water Development District. Chairman Randy Stanley of Groton was re-elected to that post during the groups annual meeting in Pierre Wednesday. Randy Grismer will return to serve as Secretary and Wolsey’s Gary Boomsma will continue as Treasurer. The group elected Dan Klimisch of Yankton as Vice-Chairman to the J-R-W-D-D. Members awarded just under 22-thousand dollars to the U-S Geological Survey for operation and maintenance of stream flow guging stations near Stratford, Redfield and Yankton. The City of Huron recently approved funds to with operation and maintenance of the Redfield station as it’s readings assist officials in Huron in making decision in regards to the James River’s flow.
