The James River Water Development District awarded $105,870 in cost-sharing assistance at their recent Board of Directors meeting held in Mitchell last Thursday.
The District awarded $10,000 to the Town of Wolsey for needed upgrades to their water tower to meet OSHA standards.
The District tabled funding to the Town of Cavour to replace several blocks of sewer lines in town. The proposed improvements will replace existing infrastructure that has reached its useful life.
Also at Thursday’s meeting, the District tabled funding to Lake Byron Sanitary District to construct a wastewater collection system with a stabilization pond.
